Elaine
Elaine is a professional teacher and performer of classical and jazz piano. She teaches children and adults and has a creative and engaging approach to learning. Lessons can be just for fun, or if there is a particular focus on doing the grades, Elaine is experienced tutor of classical and jazz ABRSM grades. As a qualified class teacher Elaine led music departments throughout the South East until 2010 when she decided to return her focus back to the piano. She has since been teaching many happy students the piano and keyboards as well as performing both as a soloist and in various bands and ensembles throughout the UK.
Sarah
Sarah studied music at Dartington College of Arts and is also a qualified classroom music teacher who plays the piano and cello. She has a wide range of teaching experience both in the UK and abroad, which includes both individual and group sessions. Sarah has a fantastic way of bringing out the best in her students, she makes them feel at ease and has a creative and engaging teaching style. She is particularly suited to teaching beginners and loves to encourage new students to explore their own ideas as well as following a syllabus. When she’s not teaching Sarah writes and performs music in various ensembles.
Jacob
Currently in his final year of a BMus at the University of Chichester, Jacob’s experience in both performing and teaching bely his years. Having begun Piano and Saxophone tuition from a young age, he sped through grades and quickly became known in the surrounding area as a skilled performer. He has spent the last few years honing his craft and developing an active gigging lifestyle, playing with everything from Chamber groups to Big Bands and more contemporary ensembles, where he also developed his skill as an accomplished arranger of music.Jacob goes to great lengths to make sure that his students feel comfortable and at ease with their learning, so as to achieve their true potential.
Sam
Sam lives and breathes music! He is a fun, easy going piano and keyboard teacher of all ages. As a freelance musician he manages and performs with a soul band, plays solos at wedding and writes, records and tours with alternative pop bands. He studied jazz at Birmingham Conservatoire and has a background of working with children with special needs. All styles are taught from beginners to advanced, including Sam’s passion for improvisation and composition.
Leo
Leo is an experienced teacher and seasoned performer. Having taken an interest in music from an early age and taking up classical piano, he also became interested in jazz as a teenager and continued to study jazz at Middlesex University, from which he graduated with first class honours. Since graduation he has worked as a gigging performer at clubs and festivals across the UK on piano and saxophone, and as a session musician at various studios including the famous Abbey Road.
He currently leads a jazz-pop duo as a songwriter, composer and pianist, and writes compositions for his students. Leo has been sharing his love for all genres of music as a piano and saxophone teacher for over 10 years. His lessons are rhythmic and imaginative, and his piano students are always encouraged to compose, improvise, sing along, and put their own personality into the music they learn.
Zoe
Zoe is a music teacher and performer with over 25 years experience. She specialises in teaching the piano and percussion, but also has extensive experience coaching percussion ensembles, composing and accompanying music for ballet, choirs and orchestras. Zoe has worked with students age 4 to adults helping them achieve their music goals, whether that means learning to play just for fun, or working towards grades. Zoe is experienced working with students from a broad range of cultures and backgrounds, including those with special needs, she has a friendly, calm and adaptable approach to learning and takes special care to tailor her lessons to meet individual needs.
